⚠︎ Two things families often miss

The financial aid priority deadline for new families comes before the admission priority deadline. The financial aid page and its FAQ say Feb. 19, 2027; other Saint Louis pages say Feb. 27 or Feb. 28. To be safe, apply for aid by Feb. 19 and confirm with the school. Also, there is no single decision day: decision letters go out once every step is complete, so finishing the steps early helps.

Tuition and financial aid

  • 2026–27 tuition and fees (fee sheet updated Feb. 23, 2026): K–5 $15,533 plus $1,000 comprehensive fees = $16,533; Grades 6–8 $15,994 plus $2,100 = $18,094; Grades 9–12 $18,158 plus $2,200 = $20,358.
  • Non-refundable enrollment deposit: $500, due April 15, 2027. One-time tuition stabilization charge: $200 (K–5), $225 (6–8), $250 (9–12). Grade 12 graduation fee: $500. The 2-payment and 11-payment plans carry extra charges.
  • The elementary FAQ page still shows an older tuition figure; use the 2026–27 fee sheet. The current application fee is not listed.
  • Financial aid is need-based and applied for through Clarity, opening Oct. 1. Priority deadlines: Jan. 29, 2027 for current families and Feb. 19, 2027 for new families. Decisions start in March, and recipients must keep a 2.5 GPA.

Applying from outside Hawaiʻi

  • Saint Louis has a separate tuition rate for international students (total for 2026–27: K–5 $18,985; Grades 6–8 $20,586; Grades 9–12 $23,143) and an ESL program fee of $5,000 per year.
  • International applicants may take the TOEFL Jr. and submit other standardized tests. The ESL program page (which looks out of date) asks non-U.S. citizens for a valid passport and student visa and a TOEFL score of at least 53 for Grades 9–12 — confirm before relying on it.
  • The website does not say whether the school issues an I-20, and it does not mention boarding or homestay. Ask admissions.
  • The International Admissions page covers exchanges and sister schools, including schools in Japan.

How Academia Tutor School can help

Our Private School Entrance Exam Prep program prepares children for the parts of admission that are hard to practice at home: the kindergarten observation session, the written test for Grades 1–5, and the interview and SSAT for older boys. Lessons run Monday to Friday after school, private or in groups of up to five. In 2026, our students were admitted to 23 schools.

No tutoring program can promise admission, and we do not. Our goal is for your child to walk in calm and ready to show who they are.
