Which grades can you enter?
- Sacred Hearts accepts applications for preschool through Grade 12 on a rolling basis; ask the admission office which grades have space.
- Kindergarten: applicants must be 5 years old by August of the school year they enter (for 2027–28, by August 2027).
- Preschool: the Early Learning Center serves girls from age 3 (some pages say from age 2), up to age 6.
- Only girls are admitted to the school; the summer programs are open to boys and girls.

The financial aid priority deadline (Dec. 31) comes two months before the admission priority deadline (Feb. 28) — families who need aid should apply for both early. Students entering Grade 9 can also apply for the Henriette Memorial Scholarship, a full year’s tuition award (excluding books and fees).
Tuition and financial aid
- Base tuition 2026–27 (10 months): preschool and K–5 $16,350; Grades 6–8 $18,618; Grades 9–12 $20,958. Fees vary by grade — paid in full, the total is $17,215 for preschool and $21,973 for Grade 12.
- Application fee: $50. Discounts: alumnae 10%, siblings 15% (second and later daughters), active-duty military 20%.
- Financial aid is applied for through FACTS; the 2027–28 application opens Nov. 1, 2026, with a priority deadline of Dec. 31, 2026.
Applying from outside Hawaiʻi
- International students and English language learners take an ESL assessment if accepted. ESL courses cost $2,000 (one course) to $4,000 (three courses).
- The website does not mention F-1 visas, boarding or English test requirements — confirm with admissions.
How Academia Tutor School can help
Our Private School Entrance Exam Prep program prepares children for the parts of admission that are hard to practice at home: interviews, group activities, and the vocabulary, reading and reasoning skills used in tests such as the SSAT. Lessons run Monday to Friday after school, private or in groups of up to five. In 2026, our students were admitted to 23 schools.
