Basic information
How enrollment works
ApplicationWaiting listEnrollment
- Enrollment is open to all children aged three through six years.
- The school’s website does not publish birth-date cutoffs, seat numbers or tour dates — ask the office about the timing that fits your child.
Because the school uses a waiting list rather than a once-a-year deadline, applying early for the period you want is what counts. The tuition is a monthly figure for one full-day program; there is no half-day option listed.
Tuition and fees
- Tuition for 2026–27: $1,550 a month (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Tuition is paid in advance or monthly, with no refund for time missed.
- Fees: application $75, registration $150, comprehensive fee $300 a year (school supplies and field trips). These three fees are non-refundable.
- Chaminade University employees and currently enrolled students receive 20% off tuition.
- The school lists outside programs that can help with costs, including PATCH Hawaii, Child Care Connection Hawaii, Preschool Open Doors, the Keiki O Ka Aina HELP Program and Child Care Aware of America (military families).
Applying from outside Hawaiʻi
- The school’s pages do not mention international students, visas or English requirements — contact the school office at (808) 735-4875.
How Academia Tutor School can help
Many families move on from preschool to private kindergarten and elementary admissions. Our Private School Entrance Exam Prep program prepares children for the parts that are hard to practice at home: small-group activities, one-on-one interviews, and the vocabulary and listening skills used in assessments. Lessons run Monday to Friday after school, private or in groups of up to five. In 2026, our students were admitted to 23 schools.
No tutoring program can promise admission, and we do not. Our goal is for your child to walk in calm and ready to show who they are.
