⚠︎ Two things families often miss

Le Jardin posts two different financial aid deadlines for new families: Jan. 15 on the financial aid page and Feb. 15 on the admissions timeline. Plan for Jan. 15, 2027 and confirm with the school. Also, merit scholarships are only for students entering Grades 7 and 9, and their SSAT scores are due by Jan. 31 — so those applicants should take the SSAT early.

Tuition and financial aid

  • Tuition for 2026–27: PK $19,710; JK $21,500; K–5 $29,440; Grades 6–12 $29,870. Tuition includes technology, field trip fees and the yearbook; PSAT fees for Grades 10–11 are included.
  • Payment plans: annual, semester or monthly, with a 2% early-bird discount. Sibling discounts: 10% for a third child and 25% for a fourth. A Tuition Refund Plan is offered.
  • The website does not list the application fee or the enrollment deposit amount — ask admissions.
  • Financial aid is for Grades K–12 and is applied for through Clarity. About 20% of students and 80% of aid applicants receive aid; the average award is more than $9,500, and awards generally range from 10% to 60% of tuition.
  • Merit scholarships (Grades 7 and 9 only) are typically around 25% of tuition. The Pōmaikaʻi Scholarship for Grade 7 covers up to 100% of tuition.

Applying from outside Hawaiʻi

  • Le Jardin provides an I-20 and homestay for international students in Grades 9–12 only. Applicants for K–8 must already have another U.S. status.
  • There is no dormitory; housing is homestay only. The homestay fee is not listed.
  • Le Jardin has no ESL program, so students must already be proficient in English. The SSAT is required, and the interview is held on Zoom.
  • The website does not name an English test (such as the TOEFL) or a separate international deadline — confirm with admissions.

How Academia Tutor School can help

Our Private School Entrance Exam Prep program prepares children for the parts of admission that are hard to practice at home: the play session for preschool applicants, the admission testing for K–5, and the SSAT, interview and group activity for Grades 6–11. Lessons run Monday to Friday after school, private or in groups of up to five. In 2026, our students were admitted to 23 schools.

No tutoring program can promise admission, and we do not. Our goal is for your child to walk in calm and ready to show who they are.
